The Highland boundary fault in Scotland provided potentially a wealth of riches to be exploited in the form of multiple ores. Copper, Lead and Silver being the most common, but also large deposit of iron and rare metals can often be found. In Glenesk in Angus these deposits were exploited for millennia from the Neolithic\/early Bronze Age onwards, ending in the 18th<\/sup> century. This lecture will introduce you to the emerging archaeology and history of this area, that is currently being studied by the Roman Gask Project.<\/p>\n

The lectures can be attended individually or as a complete course.<\/strong><\/p>\n
