This course will look at the establishment of GMAU and review forty years of archaeology research, covering the most important prehistoric, Roman, Medieval, Post-medieval and Industrial sites over six weeks. This will include bronze Age rock art, Iron Age farmsteads, new Roman forts, early medieval sculpture, late medieval halls and timber buildings, canals and mills and 20<sup>th<\/sup> century night clubs. Along the way we shall also look at how the interpretation of Greater Manchester\u2019s past has evolved in terms of public presentation.
