This course offers you an introduction to the Latin language and its highly logical grammar. The course aims to get you proficient at reading your first genuine Latin texts and along the way enjoy this beautiful language.<\/p>\n
We will be using as our text book ‘Andrew Keller’s and Stephanie Russell’s Learn to Read Latin’,<\/a> to which further exercises will be added.\u00a0 This course is slightly unusual in that it uses original Latin text from the start. (Before you buy this book, please contact me, as I may be able to point you towards some good 2nd hand copies)<\/p>\n Teaching methods:<\/strong><\/p>\n The course will be taught as a weekly Zoom session, where we explore aspects of the Latin language and practice sentences to translate, as well as review your homework. You will then be set a series of exercises to practice with over the next week.<\/p>\n Requirements<\/strong>: It would be useful if you had an English-Latin dictionary.
