This introductory archaeology course will study those internationally important industrial heritage sites in England and Wales which are classified as World Heritage Sites. Over 5 weeks the course will look at the Derwent Valley Textile Mills; Ironbridge; the Liverpool Waterfront; Blaenavon ironworks and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct; Saltaire textile village and the Cornish & West Devon Mining Landscape. The course will also include an overview of all the 30 World Heritage Sites in the UK and their international context, as well as some of the threats posed to the future of these sites from climate change and redevelopment.<\/p>\n
