Not a lot of their work survives, some like Sulpicia&#8217;s survived because it was later ascribed to male writers.<\/p>\n<p>In the first part of the lecture, we will look at the surviving evidence, while in the second part we will be translating some of the poems ascribed to Sulpicia.<\/p>\n<p>This course is suitable for students who have completed their Latin grammar training and are roughly at Latin A-level or beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Please, bring a Latin dictionary or familiarise yourself with the free online dictionary at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latinitium.com\/latin-dictionaries\">Latinitium<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Birgitta Hoffmann will be distributing a selection of texts by Sulpicia to prepare in advance of the class.
