Research in the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century is revolutionising our understanding of these first communities to occupy Britain. Drawing on this new evidence, the course will look at the evidence for the first humans, the transition from hunter-gathering to farming, the introduction of metal use and the growth of ritual and religion.
