From the 1330\u2019s to the 1450\u2019s the Hundred Years War stopped and started. The issue was over the claim of the English king Edward III to the throne of France. His Plantagenet successors continued to pursue the claim. Stunning victories at Cr\u00e9cy, Poitiers and Agincourt followed, but during the reign of Henry VI it was all lost. This course examines the whole course of the War and the profound changes it brought about in society and medieval warfare It investigates the development of a distinct English and French sense of nationality, language and literature<\/p>\n
