The <strong>Great Mass in C minor<\/strong> and the<strong> Requiem <\/strong>contain some of his finest music, but still trouble conductors and scholars because both were left in a fragmentary state. The situation is confused further by the various attempts to complete them, which continue to this day. In these sessions, we shall examine the background to each work and investigate the magnificent music which survives. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the questions raised by efforts to complete the works.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday October 14<sup>th<\/sup> 10am \u2013 12.30 \u2013 The Great Mass in C minor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday October 21<sup>st<\/sup> 10am \u2013 12.30 \u2013 Requiem in D minor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each morning will consist of two one-hour lecture\/discussions delivered via Zoom.
