On the eve of the Roman invasion, the Iron Age cultures of Britain were striving artistically and archaeologically, producing high-quality metalwork, large settlements, beautiful pottery, but most of all a hugely diverse landscape of different cultures and links to neighbours within and beyond Britain. This course will look at these different cultures, what we know about their ‘identities’ and how they reacted to the arrival of Rome.<\/p>\n
