But the best-known poem is probably the Metamorphoses, a collection of mythological stories that included the transformation of one of the protagonists.<\/p>\n<p>Known since the Middle Ages, these stories became the inspiration of much art and sculpture as well as G.B. Shaw&#8217;s Pygmalion.<\/p>\n<p>This term we will finish with the stories in Book X and then begin with Ovid\u2019s Heroides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Newcomers are always welcome,<\/strong>\u00a0but should ensure that they are familiar with Latin Grammar and vocabulary at roughly A-level or beyond. Feel free to ask to come for a trial session\u00a0if you are unsure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading list:<\/strong><br \/>\nAny edition of Ovid&#8217;s Metamorphoses or Heroides will do.
