The steppes north of the Black Sea are some of the most fertile soils in Europe, well-watered they have attracted a lot of historical cultures from the Scythians to the Goths and Romans. Most of these cultures have left a impressive and rich heritage, which documents how different people over time exploited these areas.<\/p>\n

This dayschool will look at the archaeology of this area, including the Crimea.<\/p>\n

Please note all lectures will be recorded and distributed to the participants at the beginning of the next week. This should allow participants from different time zones, or those working to catch up with the lectures.<\/p>\n
