\n<\/strong>The Via Appia is the first Rome\u2019s long distanced road linking eventually Rome and Brindisi in Southern Italy. To many tourists is a pleasant Sunday stroll on the outskirts of Rome amongst the remains of graves, villas and churches. But what made this road so important, what are the towns it connected and why?<\/p>\n

This dayschool will look at the archaeology and history of this road.<\/p>\n

Please note all lectures will be recorded and distributed to the participants at the beginning of the next week. This should allow participants from different time zones, or those working to catch up with the lectures.<\/p>\n
