However, its geography is shaped by the mountains of Eryri and the southern hills including the Brecon Beacons, making travel across the area difficult and leading to several distinct areas of cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>This course will look at the archaeological evidence for the area from the later Bronze and Iron Age and the Roman and Early Medieval period. We will be looking at some of the recent archaeological discoveries and how they fit in our wider understanding how this shaped the Welsh kingdoms that emerged in the Early Medieval Period.<\/p>\n<p>Please note all lectures will be recorded and distributed to the participants the following week.
