Instead we find more stories about the activity of Jeremiah, and see him interacting with the citizens of Jerusalem including establishment figures such as kings and priests. But in addition there are other prophets whose vision of the future is very different from his. This portion of the work ends with the \u201cBook of Consolation\u201d offering the prospect of a better future beyond the disaster of the Babylonian sack of the city.
