The second and third largest of the Mediterranean these two islands and their rich mineral resources were a focus of interest of the great powers in the Mediterranean since the Bronze age. When Rome acquired the two islands after Punic wars a long and often violent precosess began to make them Roman. This dfayschool will look at the history and archaeology of these two islands.<\/p>\n
