Stonehenge and the large landscape of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments encapsulate in its complexity the achievements of the late Neolithic and Bronze Age in Britain. But was it unique, did other parts of Europe also have equivalent ritual landscapes or did they perceive this period very differently? This dayschool will look at some of the defining finds of the contemporary finds from Western and Central Europe and what our evidence for contact between them and Britain was at the time.
