The final chapters of the book of Jeremiah contain detailed narratives of the activities of the prophet especially in the last days of the Kingdom of Judah before its destruction by Nebuchadnezzar. They provide a vivid portrait of the man and the moment. Also included are a selection of Oracles against the Nations similar to those in Isaiah and Ezekiel. These chapters reflect the wider context of the times of Jeremiah and the compliers of the work.
This is a chance to examine some of the lesser known portions of this enigmatic prophetic work.
