The Archaeology of Jordan

Birgitta Hoffmann

Neighbour to both Israel and Syria Jordanian archaeology with the exception of Petra has often, but undeservedly been seen as the second choice. Jordanian archaeology benefits, however, from a well-developed research infrastructure and has produced over the years some amazing finds from the Bronze Age to the Early Islamic archaeology.
This dayschool will explore some of the highlights of these discoveries.
