Just as cultures around the world produce stories about creation and the beginning of all things so too they speculate about the end of all things. This course will examine a series of such including the ancient world, eastern religious traditions, Viking and Maya as well as apocalyptic fears today. Are there common features that signal our deepest fears about the future?
