Between the Sybil of Cumae and the Oracle of Delphi Greek and Roman Mythology abounds with stories about people trying to see into the future. But what do we really know about these oracle places? Focusing on the Roman period, we will look into ways and places where you might find out if your destiny contained a dark handsome stranger, when the emperor would die (and why asking that would be a really stupid idea) or how you could find a cure for a deadly disease.
