Description

Birgitta Hoffmann

In the last 30 years, the archaeology in the city of Rome has experienced a massive boom, with new excavations being caused by large infrastructure projects such as the new Metro line and the new bus parks for the Vatican, to renewed research surrounding the large churches such as the Lateran, the Vatican, but also small ones like Santa Maria Antiqua in the Forum. Widespread restoration work has changed our understanding of many of the monuments and their history. This series will present you with some of these results.

lease note all lectures will be recorded and distributed to the participants at the beginning of the next week. This should allow participants from different time zones, or those working to catch up with the lectures.
