The Northernmost European outpost, Iceland was settled in the Early Medieval period and then resettled by the Norse/Vikings. The geographical and geological challenges of the Island created very individual results in the archaeological records and this dayschool will look at the surviving record of the archaeology from c. 1000-1800.
