Powerful Women : Rosa Luxemburg

We are currently reviewing this course and its format in view of safe distancing recommendations  due to COVID.

Creina Mansfield & Alan Sennett

We continue our ‘Powerful Women’ series by looking at the life and political struggles of Rosa Luxemburg.

She wrote, ‘Freedom only for the supporters of the government, only for members of the party—however numerous they may be—is no freedom at all. Freedom is always the freedom of the one who thinks differently.’

She was a philosopher, an anti- war campaigner and a revolutionary.
