Mum is best – The Mother Goddesses of the Roman World

Birgitta Hoffmann

Mother Goddesses are a central feature of Roman religion, from Juno in Rome itself to Magna Mater to the numerous mother deities venerated in Northern Provinces, these cults appear to have appealed to those wanting to have children.
