Joint Roman Gask Project and MANCENT conference
Birgitta Hoffmann and others
This conference will look at the association between the Roman army and the exploitation of mining resources. What is the evidence for the army involvement? How far was the Roman army involved? What do we know about the evidence for mining in a given area?
This conference will present the results from the Roman Gask Project survey in Glenesk and elsewhere in Scotland, and offer comparisons with other mining areas.
