5th Roman MANCENT Conference: The Roman army and Mining in Scotland and elsewhere

Joint Roman Gask Project and MANCENT conference

Birgitta Hoffmann and others

This conference will look at the association between the Roman army and the exploitation of mining resources. What is the evidence for the army involvement? How far was the Roman army involved? What do we know about the evidence for mining in a given area?
