Alan Sennett
This course examines key aspects of American history during the Cold War. We consider the roots of the conflict and chart its course in relation to foreign policy, the wars in Korea and Vietnam and domestic ramifications such as McCarthyism. We will also look at the Civil Rights Movement and other socio-economic changes in America in the second half of the 20th century.
