Birgitta Hoffmann
Thanks to the Roman habit of depicting themselves on honorary and tomb statues we know a lot about Roman dress, especially their “Sunday best” This course will explore, how Roman clothing changed over time and what it consisted of, as well as what impressions these statues were trying to give. Was it just showing off your fashion sense, or is there more to what hat you choose to wear.
