22rd Oct Silchester and Catterick – The Civilian towns between ‘civitas capital’ and thriving Industrial town
29th Oct Faverdale and the hinterland of York – Roman rural landscapes with and without mosaics – or how rural is the ‘Rural North”.
5th November: The cemetery of Brougham and the river deposit at Piercebridge – Religion and ‘strange’ deposits – from possible ‘immigrant cemeteries’ to ‘ritual deposition in water?’
The lectures can be attended individually or as a complete course.
