Online course: The Gospel of Matthew

Michael Tunnicliffe

Matthew presents Jesus as a new Moses who comes to fulfil the Jewish Law not to destroy it.  Yet the relationship between Matthew’s group and the synagogue community of Antioch suggests a complex situation. By the end of the first century Jews and Christians were going their separate ways.

This Zoom course examines the meaning of the text both in its original context and for today
