Harbours were the vital links that allowed for trade, contact, wars or just a steady supply of food to be brought to ancient towns. This dayschool will look at recent work at some of the harbours in the Mediterranean and trace the development and the surprising complexity of some of these harbour installations in the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine period
Dayschool: Saturday, 8th May 2021 Time: 11.00– 16.00 BST
