Greek and Roman mythology: An introduction

Antony Keen

The stories of Greek and Roman myth are embedded in western culture, constantly being retold through paintings, plays, novels, films, etc. This course introduces you to the main characters of ancient Greek and Roman mythology, and to the main works of literature in which these stories are told. Along the way, we will touch on such issues as how much history is preserved in myth, and what myth is for.
