Description

In Northern Cambodia beyond the flood line of the Tonle Sap lies a huge archaeological site – Angkor. Surveys have established its size at about 2-3sqkm in size with huge temple complexes and palaces, reservoirs a canals system that supplied the town with water, but also served for transport as well as a large districts full of traders and craftsmen.
This is the centre of power of the Khmer Southeast Asia’s largest pre-Mongolian landpower, with trade and political links stretching from Persia to China.
