An Introduction to Turkic history and archaeology in Asia

One of the continuous players along the Silkroad are the Turkic speaking groups. Starting with the Nomads in Mongolia to the Western and Eastern Khaganates and the empires of the Ghurids, Seljuks and the Ottomans. This course will be a short introduction into the history and archaeology of the Turkic speaking tribes and how they were able to use the land-based Silkroads to support their empires.
